Through all of this, we continue to have a need to hire great staff! So, please know that we continue to hire and have implemented the procedures below. Faculty, Staff and Trainee Recruitment Effective immediately, no in-person interviews will be conducted. In lieu of in-person interviews, video interviews for external and internal candidates will be scheduled and conducted. Large Events and Gatherings All non-essential events and gatherings shall be cancelled or postponed, in accordance with the public health order issued March 16 by the City and County of San Francisco. Event organizers must prioritize alternatives - such as teleconferencing - rater than hold-in person gatherings. Telecommuting for Non Essential Personnel Non-essential UCSF Health personnel are directed to work from home. This includes employees, contractors, volunteers, or members of the public who do not perform treatment, maintenance, support, or administrative tasks deemed essential to our organization's mission. Travel UCSF is restricting all non-essential university-sponsored travel, both domestic and international. Visitors The San Francisco Department of Public Health on March 13, 2020, issued an order restricting visitors and requiring mandatory screening for all workers entering licensed inpatient hospital buildings. We will provide updates to process changes as decisions are made to continue to protect our patients, staff and visitors.
